Probably the biggest novelty of the 3rd year of L'Etape Slovakia by Tour de France is the change of the main location and thus the starting area of the event. Štrkovec is being replaced after 2 years by Eurovea, which will provide us with a more generous space and better premises. The start of the Sunday part of the event will be from Pribinová street (in the case of a large number of participants, there will be two starts, we will publish the details in early August depending on the number of registered competitors) - then we have prepared a unique ride through the city center for you even before the "official start".
After the start, we will go out through Landererova Street to the Apollo Bridge - in 2006, it won not only the "Building of the Year" award in Slovakia, but also the "Opal Awards" worldwide award for technical engineering as the only European building in that year. After a short drive through Einsteinová street, we will come to another iconic Bratislava monument, from which you will have the most comprehensive and beautiful view of all the most important monuments of Bratislava - the SNP Bridge. In a certain period it was also referred to as the "New Bridge" with the legendary UFO cafe. In 2001, it was declared the construction of the century in Slovakia in the bridge construction category. We will get off the bridge right in front of another iconic Bratislava monument - St. Martin's Cathedral, and next to the newly built Vydrica we will join the embankment road leading to the Riviera, the place of the "official start" of the race.
