20.07.2023 - UNIVERSAE is the new title sponsor of the L'Étape Madrid, which will be renamed L'Étape Madrid by Tour de France presented by UNIVERSAE. The agreement with RPM Sports, organizer of the cycling tour, will also be extended to other events of the company, such as the Škoda Titan Desert Almería, of which Universae is the new official sponsor.
In this way, the education center specialized in distance professional studies expands its relationship with the world of sport. UNIVERSAE is already part of the family of sponsors of the Mitja Marató de Sant Cugat or the Trial Indoor de Barcelona, all of them events organized by RPM Sports.
"Who can doubt the formative nature of sport?" asks Jesús García, CEO of RPM Sports. "When we sign sponsorship agreements, especially if it is the case of a title sponsor, we look for the union to make sense and connect with our values. In the case of UNIVERSAE, we have understood that the mutual understanding is so good that it is already part of all our event families: running, cycling, mountain biking and motor racing.
Benito Mercader León, general manager of UNIVERSAE, also valued this, underlining the sporting vocation that the school has always had: "There is so much that training and sport share: discipline, tenacity, effort, companionship, learning... it's impossible to list it all. That is why we have decided to extend our agreements and our links with the world of sport, because we understand that these events bring us as much as we can bring to them".
L'Étape Madrid by Tour de France presented by UNIVERSAE is a cycling tour that will be held on October 1. Starting and finishing in the town of Villanueva del Pardillo, the race has a route of 153 kilometers and four iconic mountain passes of the Madrid geography.
On the other hand, the Škoda Titan Desert Almería will be held between 7 and 10 October. It will be the fourth edition of the mountain bike race to be held in the province of Almeria. The Cabo de Gata, the Tabernas desert and the high of Velefique will be the protagonists of this unique adventure in the world.
