On January, 10th, 2023, L'Etape Bulgaria by Tour de France have been officialy launched from Sofia's National Stadium. The organizer is now ready to bring an unforgettable cycling competion for Bulgarian and international riders, in Velingrad. On July, 29th and 30th, participants will have the opportunity to live an amazing cycling experience in the middle of the beautiful Rhodopes moutains. During the whole week-end, both cyclists and fans will feel the unique Tour de France atmosphere all along the route and in the Race Village, located in Velingrad's city center.

An event for all types of riders

L'Etape Bulgaria by Tour de France will be an event adapted to all level of cyclists, from beginers to the most competitves riders. Participants will have the opportunity to choose between two race formats : the Short Race (57km and +1,500m of elevation gain) or the Long Race (102km and +2,500m of elevation gain). The route will start from Velingrad city center before going in the middle of the Rhodopes breathtaking landsacapes, made of forests and moutains, and on fully closed roads. The Short Race will do one loop while the Long Race will do two loops. Both will finish in the crowded city center of Velingrad, just in front of the Race Village, which promises to be an unforgettable moment for all the cyclists!

If the more motivated riders will be able to face Velingrad's moutains, the beginers and the youngest cyclists will also have the opportunity to live the Tour de France atmosphere with two other formats accessible for everyone : the Family Ride & the Kids Race, both organized in the city center. These two formats are the perfect way to feel like a Tour de France champion while discovering cycling with the highest level of safety. Thus, all the families can enjoy L'Etape Bulgaria by Tour de France unique atmosphere with race formats adapted to every members' level.
