Did you know that by registering for L'Etape Slovenia, you are also supporting young Slovenian cycling hopefuls? In addition to the yellow cycling note, L'Etape Slovenia also has a charity note this year. Part of each entry fee for this year's edition will go to the Matej Mohorič Foundation. Thus, in addition to creating their own unforgettable experiences, all participants will also help young hopefuls in reaching their dreams.

About the Matej Mohorič Foundation

The Matej Mohorič Foundation was founded in 2021 with the aim of organizing non-profit projects that are taking place or will continue to take place under the guidance of cycling ace Matej Mohorič.

Every year, the foundation will try to help aspiring young cyclists and at the same time create events that will promote cycling as recreation and an important part of a healthy lifestyle.
In addition to the annual purchase of professional road bikes within the foundation and the cycling camp, we try to help as many groups and individuals who find themselves in difficult life circumstances as possible.

Ever since I became a professional cyclist, I have always thought about how to help and invest back into the local environment and help others so that they have the chance to become successful cyclists one day. For several years I have been toying with the idea of establishing a foundation to enable children and young people to engage in cycling. And that maybe some of them succeed and make it to the World Series level.

Given that I want to help everyone in Slovenia, not just one club, I think it makes the most sense to help through the national team, which is why cooperation with the cycling association. Of course, it's also about financial help, because if you want to run the youth program well, it's a bigger deal than when I was a youth myself. This will help the boys not only to have an equal opportunity to the rest of the national teams in Europe to be among the best, but even a better starting point" (Matej Mohorič)
